Hi all,

So i've sucummbed to buying this game, and i've installed and ready to begin playing! But the thing is though, I haven't.

I feel as if I want to prepare myself before I start playing, and considering how big the modding community is on this game I want to be ready.

So to that effect, to start off, is there any "Must download" mods or tweaks you can recommend? Btw I plan on playing through the normal game first, and then go for pvp.
Some swear by the better henchmea AI mods, but I've never tried them.
No, nothing you'd need to tweak before starting.

The only thing to preconsider is what kind of character you want, class- and startswise. NWN being D&D there are a bazillion options and most everybody makes bad choices the first time around. But it'll all work out in the end anyway.

Just hop in.
Thanks for the reply - I've heard the base game and first expansion aren't very good, so had a quick start with the third, but for some reason i had a bunch of levels that i'd apparently gained, and couldn't rest until I had "trained", and couldn't leave the room until i had rested lol

Also, my word theres a lot of stats and abilities to choose from, talk about overwhelming! Any other little tips or advice?

The original story is stand alone, but the two sequels are meant to be played in order.
Meaning, if you don't have a ready character when you begin HoU, you'll be tossed enough money and XP to have your level somewhere in the teens.

I'd suggest you start with the Original, the beginning is tutorial(ish) and should get you up to speed.
If you don't like it, I'd suggest starting with SoU and then moving to HoU. Storywise it's not necessary, but starting with HoU is a bit like learning to swim in the deep end, of the ocean.
Starting with the Original Campaign is the best idea, it is very forgiving. Just pick a character class that appeals to you and go for it. You learn the feats and skills as you go. You can look up faqs for specific classes to get an idea of starting stats etc.
