Hey all, I've had a lot of issues getting this game to work, and it's always been the same laggy sort of massive framerate issues.

I've looked up the "how to install nwn" topic on the bioware forums, and done everything it suggested- I have the game directly on the c drive, updated my drivers, run it in compatibility mode, and run it as an administrator, and the best I can manage is it runs fine for a few days before it completely lags up on me again. If I uninstall/reinstall it will work again for a few days, but I'm getting really sick and tired of that. Are there any more obscure solutions anyone can recommend?

edit: wow, afterthis most recent re-installation it's still having this problem. great.

I have two suggestions for now, to be tried in this order:

1) Try an OLDER driver for your card. I usually start from the oldest that supports my GFX to the newest as, often times, they don't support older games. Be sure to backup your windows bootup first and keep a copy of your current drivers on-hand, just in case.

2) If using ATI, make sure that it is actually detecting it as a 3D application. It might be withholding if it's using the stupid Catalyst AI thingy.

It seems weird that it degrades over time, however...
