I last played this game last year with no problems but upon loading today i have no sound in game plus exiting the game just hangs the PC forcing me to reboot. Any ideas on what to do?

I have had the same issue. I use headphones and if I turn off my blue tooth headphones before I log out of the game I have the exact same issue. I dont have to reboot because I found that signing out does the same. It has something to do with the game loosing control of your sound options be they headphones or speakers.
