I'm thinking about playing NWN2 with my wife. She's not huge into video games but is usually willing to try something for my sake.

Any chance you can do local LAN play without needing a second CD Key?

Last I checked I think you could do LAN without a problem.

Not sure in the GoG version, but you DO definitely need a second cd-key to play LAN, in the CD version, otherwise it will throw a same cd-key error.

I have tried the GoG version, but my former Girlfriend, although still my best friend, and I were able to play over the 'net with duplicate keys - it seems that the authentication servers are no longer up and you can LAN/play Multiplayer without the need for multiple copies (something that is a bit funny considering that the copy on GoG is my forth - I've got the original boxed copies, the NWN Complete boxed collection, NWN2 and the Expansions on Steam, and now the version on GoG). Unless something has changed I'd imagine that this would continue to hold true with the copy here.
