So Ive had some issues with the quests not popping up... after daegun joins the battle to at the wheat fields. Shouldnt he ask me to fetch a item in the swamps to the south?

Georg just ask for more militamen, though Ive runded up anyone still standing. And when I try to talk to Daeghun after the fight nothing happens. Also the exit to the swamps to the south are flashing, but when I exit it gives me no other options to travel to.

Console command to get things moving along?

If I am not mistaken, the actions in that section are...

Recruit 5 people for Georg -> Meet up with Georg -> Fight first few waves -> Sterling house OR stay and fight -> Last waves -> Daeghun shows up -> Talk to Daeghun -> Sends you to pick up the shard.

Are you using AVG anti-virus, by any chance?

I am using AVG anti-virus, how come?
I am not able to talk to Daeghun, nor has any entry been added to my journal about fetching the shard,

Here is how to proceed from you village house (in a nutshell):

Talk to brother Merring

Report to the bridge and defeat attackers

Talk to Georg at bridge

Recruit militia:
...Talk to Wyl Mossfeld by bridge
...Talk to brother Merring again to get swamp moss
...Wyl Mossfeld > Heal with swamp moss
...Lazlo Buckman > Heal with swamp moss
...Ian Harman > persuade OR hit
...Go into Pierson’s house > persuade to join
...Pitney Lannon > Heal with swamp moss

(Amie dies during cut scene)

Talk to Georg > battle begins (2 waves)

Help Bevil's siblings OR stay and fight

Back outside, defeat last of enemies

Daeghun appears for final fight

Cut scene > Daeghun orders you to go to retrieve shard

Because AVG screws up the game, big-time, with you being unable to progress in various areas. For me, it was that map points vanished off the world map after the area just after West Harbor. I would not be entirely too surprised if something similar happens to you.

What fixed it for me was this:

Go to AVG settings / AVG Self Protection / Uncheck AVG self protection

After that, delete your character and start a new game file (the old one is corrupt) and it MIGHT work. It was what worked for my map issues at least.
