Hi guys,
I downloaded the game in english here on GOG, and the server from the old Bioware website. I setup a Linux dedicated server, and it is working well with english clients.
Problem is that some friends have downloaded the game in italian, and when they try to connect they get an error "client and server version mismatch".
Now if i want to switch the server from english to italian, what should i do? Do I need to re-download the game in italian and then copy the linux executable in the same folder? Is there a faster way?

I am going to totally guess right now..

There was a topic in this forum about how some language versions are not updated properly on GOG. So all your friends need to do is update their game to final 1.69 version. If they are using Galaxy, I believe it does it automatically. If not, you may need to do a little search. That is the english version. I am not sure if it runs with Italian version tho.

Thanks for the reply.

I found that the italian version is stuck at 1.68, while the english version is at 1.69. I also found the linux dedicated server for the 1.68 version from the old Bioware website, via web.archive.org. So we just need to agree on the client to download, and (hopefully) play :D
