Hi standhume

First you need a crafting station. Then you need the required materials, and skill to craft.

I never played Storm of Zehir, and I never crafted anything in any of the NWN series (even the first installment),
watch this video. And I also attached a image of a crafting station below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gsluKaEeJM

Hope this helps

This video showed me nothing as the person crafted nothing. i know where he stations are i have the recipes and materials i just cant figure out how to get it to work. I have to wonder why you would try and answer my question without knowing the answer. Don't waste people's time in a vain attempt for rep points.
To craft in SoZ, you need to open one of your books of crafting recipes in your inventory. You can only craft items for which you have recipes. To craft, stand near the appropriate crafting station, have the items and spells required, and double-click the recipe you want to use. Assuming you meet the requirements, the crafting will occur. You don't need to give anyone the crafting book. As long as one member of your party meets the requirements, even if it's not the character with the book, it will work.

The video would have shown *where* a crafting station is. The fact that *you knew* where the crafting stations are, wasn't known to me.

And the link below the *P.S* would have given you an idea of how *Enchanting* works.

Enchanting

Enchanting allows you to create magical weapons and armor, using the craft magical arms and armor feat, essences, and a gem. To complete the process, a spell will need to be cast. It is unclear as to whether the spell must be known by the character. Theoretically, a rogue with a high use magic device skill could cast a spell from a scroll, a non-human character could use a racial spell, or a Scabbard of Blessing could enable a Fighter to cast Bless. Conflicting information in the official NWN2 forums necessitates an official response. Recipes can be found throughout the Official Campaign, or one can discover recipes through trial and error. No components are ever used up until a successful enchantment takes place. Enchanting does not cost experience points, but it does cost gold. Enchanting must take place at a *crafting station*.

Before making such accusations I would ask you to read everything which was written and pay attention to details.
GoG community isn't about points, and reputation. I had *0* reputation when I started, but I still was helped & I helped others.

I know it is an old post, but I just returned to the franchise in the wait for a new game. I have to say that the crafting in nwn 2 storm of zehir is very different then nwn2 vanilla.

At the crafting station, open your inventory. Make sure your character has the item to be enchanted. Click on the recipe, then click on the item. You should have a purple glow for a cursor as you move to click on the item. You know you succeed if the game asks you to name of the item.

Yes, because Storm of Zehir's style of playing is a group style. Your party is basically one individual consisted of many elements (which are the characters themselves). Thus, if your character created at the very beginning of the game has absolutely 0% crafting knowledge, it does not matter at all as long as some other characters in your party know something about crafting. Everything is basically summed up and that is why even your 0% crafting knowledge character "can" create items and so on.

You also dont have to destile crafting parts from monsters' parts and there is also no need to put the required things into the crafting tables.

To be honest, I think the Storm of Zehipr crafting system is the most user-friendly when it comes to the whole Neverwinter Nights 2 saga. It is easier than the systems in the OC or other expansions but still fun. Basically it is an enjoyable system and I liked it.

To be honest (2), I never understood the crafting system in Mask of the Beytrayer so I never cared about crafting itself in this expansion. Interesting hmm...

Exactly this. It's so simple that it's almost easy to overthink it, which seemed to be the main issue the OP was having.
