NWN2 makes my graphics card WHINE for some reason. This is strange, as I can play The Witcher 2 with everything at max (Except for Ubersampling.) and not even hit 50 degrees on my GPU. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 Graphics Card.

Is this harmful, or is it something I can ignore?

Neverwinter Nights 2 on high settings @ 1920x1080 gets my card hotter than any other game I have played.
Fan is often on 85% & quite noisey.
I wouldn't say it is safe to ignore a whine, but I'm not sure there's a lot you can do about it, other than blowing out any dust, or turning down some settings.
Witcher 2 or Skyrim never got my card as hot.
I'll turn down my settings, then. Thanks.

TheTonyOne: I'll turn down my settings, then. Thanks.
As an aside, are the two of you using v-sync? I too had an issue with heat (not whining) before I enabled it, as the game was running at 200+ frames per second.
I'll reinstall and give it a shot, then.

I tried it & it might have made a difference, but the weather isn't as hot today as it's been lately so it's hard to tell.
Thanks for the tip. +1
vsync FTW.
NWN1 I was rendering the menus at 800-3000 FPS which caused serious capacitor whine until I forced vsync in control panel.
(I am aware your issue was NWN2)
