What exactly am I supposed to be doing in the final fight with the king of shadows?

Jerro shouts that the statues are important, and they have a shadow around them, yet I am unable to interact with them and killing off the mini king of shadows doesnt appear to be doing anything.

What am I supposed to do?


Also what was I supposed to do for the fight against Black Garius? I couldnt get past the forcefields in that one (it seems like I was supposed to do something with the statues there too, but again wasnt able to, ended up spamming fire arrows at him).

Sorry if this is a repeat post by the way. Could swear I had posted this yet it isnt showing up in the forum... These forums arent very good, truth be told.

For the King of Shadows fight there are three phases.

- First is to simply defeat him, have your tank (Khelgar, Casavir, PC) tank him while the rest are beating him up.

- Second is when he splits into small shadows in this way you can only defeat the shadows by using your Purification feats/abilities which you got from the statues thus far, I'd recommend using Web of Purity and Cleansing Nova as they're AOE. Once you use up your abilities, simply go near any of the statues and activate them to re-enable the usage of the abilities again, do this until another phase begins.

- The third phase is where he again becomes one being and here have your tank draw his attention, while the rest of your party destroys the statues (right-click then Bash), after they're destroyed simply destroy the portal near King of Shadows and reduce his HP to 0.

And that's about it for the final fight, as for Garius, you just need to defeat him and your former companions and that's it. The force fields are just his way to make you have a tough time getting to him with your melee, all you need to do is just use Summon Monster IX behind the force field near him, and make him attack your summoned creature while you go near him with Khelgar, Casavir etc...

For the Garius fight, were some of your followers supposed to spawn inside the same area as him, since you mention Khelgar and Casavir? All of my followers except Elanee (and Qara since she turned) were in the force field section by the entrance door and Elanee was in the one clockwise of it.

The only ones who were supposed to spawn near him when the conversation with him ends are the ones that betray you.

If somehow others (like Khelgar, Casavir, Ammon, Zhaeve etc...) who cannot betray you spawned near him then it's probably a bug, since after the conversation ends you along with anyone else who stayed by your side are supposed to be grouped up near the entrance where Garius quickly summons a Pit Fiend or a Balor along with the force fields.
