Game: NWN2 via GOG.com

I'm trying to install the "leveling module" and I am running into an issue. It requests that I run update first because there are missing components in the registry. When I try to run update, I get this error:

utils\nwn2stub.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0596 IP:015a OP:63 6f 6d 2f 32 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application

When I click ignore, the command prompt screen just sits there blank.

I have tried running as Admin and in compatibility mode, and I get the same results. I'm running Windows 7 32bit.

I too, cannot run the updater.

EDIT: Apparently the fix is to uninstall and reinstall the game, per the forums over at BioWare. Gonna test it out.

EDIT 2: There appears to be an issue with the GOG version, at least the one I downloaded. There are no newer versions of the game out, however it should still be able to auto patch and tell you such.

I resolved this by installing from my GG copies I have backed up on an external HDD. Wish I could be of more help, it's not important enough for me to contact support but you may want to.
