I just finished the Neverwinter Nights Campaign for the 1st time.
I thought I had lost for sure. I had no hard saves since Chapter 3.
I just got through the dragons & Sharwyn & I were near dead.
In the chest in the next room I found a decent Longbow (Longarm), so I quick-saved (BIG Mistake)
Tried to sleep because I had no spells left & was near dead. Ha Ha Ha.
So I turned the game setting from Normal to Easy to see how far I could get (I knew I must be close to Morag)
I had a good stock of potions, a wand of fire, & a few good spell scrolls.
I had the Ceremonial Urthgardt Belt & Asheera's Amulet, & a Ring of Regeneration +4.
So once it came down to just Morag & I, & I figured out how to harm her, it was quite easy.
The Regenerating ring took care of the damage from her staff & I just wore her down with Flame Arrows.
Although I would never have even made it into the last room on Normal.

Hey neat, so the arcane archer build worked out for you just fine, even if you didn't end up with too many levels.

Works even better in SoU if you want to build another, although there you'd be better off with mostly warrior levels in the mix so you'll reach the requirements sooner. But doesn't work that well in HotU, I'd think.

Actually you'd be fine jumping straight to HotU with this character, although some disagree with the route.
I was going to just carry on to SoU with this character.
Does SoU expect you to start from scratch?

What level does your character usually get to in the 1st campaign if you do all the side quests? (I don't know how many I missed)

And I wasn't expecting to be stuck with Sharwyn for the final chapter, I only took her on at the end of chapter 3 to do her quest.
Although she was tougher than I thought.

Yep, it's designed to start with a new level 1 character.

The campaigns are written in such a way that SoU and HotU are 'connected' (some references in HotU assume your character is the hero from SoU). The two expansion campaigns occur chronologically at about the same time as the NWN original campaign.

Generally around level 17.

She's the Bard, isn't she? Bards rock in NWN (easily my favorite class).
