So ... last night I'm cleaning out my closet getting rid of clothes to give away to the DAV or Goodwill here in America, and I come across an old box of games.
Sitting down and looking thru them, I came across 2 games I LOVED. Wing Commander 3 and 4.
If GoG could get all the wing commanders ... I'd buy them all, again, right this minute. I loved those games. I relize 4 was something crazy like 9 cd's, but man ... Mark Hamill, Tom WIlson as Maniac (Remember Biff from Back to the Future) ... Malcolm McDowel ... John Rhys-Davis. Ught the series was so great.
I'll never forget sitting down at my 286 and loading up Wind Commander. Whenever you went off to a mission and the animation showed you running down the halls. Got me so pumped.
Anyone else ever play the series?

If you want it, vote for it on the Wishlist.
I played the WC games so long ago, that I barely remember them... oh wait, that was the early 90's wasn't it? It's not the length of time, its the amount of weed... ah, memories, how I miss ya!
Anyway, I do remember that gawd-awful WC movie with Freddie Prinze Jr., what a travesty that was.

I would LOVE to see an anti-boredom device. Seriously, how awesome would that be? Turning boredom to feelings of unending fun and joy!
Boobs!
Sorry I haven't bothered to read the rest of your post beyond the title.

That's Wing Commander 3!

fuNGoo: Boobs!

I was going to say that!
Anyway... the Wing Commander-games won't be on GoG until they get EA onboard. And just think how hard it was to get EA to use Steam, which is (even though I dislike it) the number one digital distribution platform for the PC. So until GoG really takes off, I don't think we'll see these games here. Unfortunately.
I played the SNES emulated version of Wing Commander. I was unimpressed.

That's because you played the SNES emulated version.

Hahaha, I'm pretty sure the SNES version is not the one to play.

Thank you, Captain Obvious for that piece of highly obvious information regarding the SNES emulated version of Wing Commander.
And wouldn't the SNES version be a port of WingCo 1? #1 wasn't exactly the best of the series

It was OK. Not the best, but it didn't suck.
Firek: Let's not say the a-word, since it's not an a-game plx.

Is there any avenue to buy it legally?
Hm, today GamersGate announced that EA are joining their site. Since GamersGate is pretty small, it's suddenly not that unlikely that they'll consider GoG as well...

Yeah but doesn't GamersGate have DRM, that might be what EA are after.
At least the site doesn't open up from Finland, Canada nor the United States, I'd call that some pretty heavy DRM :X
