The Sea Ork is a cousin of the seal that resembles a large otter. Although they roam throughout the southern ocean the only surviving breeding colony is located in South Africa, and there are estimated to be just 5000 left. The related River Orks were wiped out in the 19th century by fur trappers.

Ork is a medieval term used to refer to sea monsters and lives on today as Orca, however in this case the name is more likely derived from the nordic word for seal - orkn.
