I know only buy classic games off gog if there not on gog ill wait til they do.

Wishbone: What problem do you have with Hitman? You aren't by chance trying to run it on a laptop, are you?

Aliasalpha: As it happens I am, surely that can't be the cause of the speed issue though. I was assuming the cause was a 1.4ghz (per core) processor rather than the P2-300 or whatever it expected
Basically the issue I have is that its unplayably fast...

Yep, that's the laptop issue allright. It's a known issue. As I understand it, it's caused by a special laptop power saving function that messes with the clock cycles somehow. Curiously enough, the first Hitman game is the only one I know of that suffers from the problem.
However, alternative causes and solutions have also been outlined. Maybe you can find some help here.
I could swear I turned power management stuff off... shall have to have a go when I fix my laptop up. Cheers man
It's just a matter of time...

melchiz: If Impulse only has it for the NA region, chances are that it will not be coming to GOG soon (due to GOG's policy on regional restrictions).

DarrkPhoenix: Not really sure what the reason for the regional restrictions on Impulse is. All the X-Com games have been available worldwide on D2D for some time now, so the regional restrictions don't seem to be coming from any kind of universal policy by the publisher.

They also have no regional restrictions on Gamersgate or Steam, so it's strictly a Impulse thing.

Try RMCLOCK http://cpu.rightmark.org/download.shtml
Should get rid of any throttling.
