I'm not sure I understand your question. Day of Reckoning 1 and 2 are Gamecube games so they require the Gamecube controllers and wouldn't work with any of the Wii controller types.

I have a Wii, and Wii consoles are backward-compatible to play GC games. So I guess the better way to phrase my question is: Are all the GC buttons on a Wii controller?

You must have the old Wii console as the new Mini ones don't have GC compatibility. The GC games REQUIRE the GC controller. When the console boots a GC game, the system goes into GC mode and shuts off all Wii components, so your Wii remote cannot operate. There's a flap on the top of your Wii console for your GC controllers. Like this:

AND... GC games require the GC memory card. It cannot and will not use the Wii storage. So, a little bit of shopping to go for all your Gamecube goodness!

A, B, X, Y, L, R, Z, Start

Wiimote(+Nunchuk):
A, B, C, Z, 1, 2, +, -, Home

Yep. I've played my Wii console many times to know this. Wii games can pick up the Gamecube controller if it supports it, but Gamecube games cannot use the Wii remote controller (and all the attachments: nunchuck, classic controller, etc).
