I already own it on disc, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to buy it again...

Thanks, buying this
Nice price on World in Conflict, but they still use activation right? You could buy it retail or from Direct2Drive DRM free. May cost a little more, but I'd imagine it would be worth it.

Online activations are required by most games, however, you can safely ignore any activation limits. I would buy this, but I already have it on Steam.
And don't forget that tomorrow's one day sale is Sword of the Stars: Ultimate Collection.

Ah, good point. I'm just not big on activation, so I'd lean towards the retail copy then.

I'm not looking to derail the thread, so I'll just say that I don't like activations as they make the installer reliant on the server to still be hanging around years to come.
I can see why this wouldn't be a concern to the majority of purchasers though as they usually just play a game, beat it and they don't have any plans to go back.

Aren't you supposed to use your signature, GOG-only meh?

I wasn't profoundly annoyed, just a little annoyed since he got me slightly worked up, like it was a tale of the forthcoming DRM-less future. Wasn't that interested in the game, you see.

My bad. I've just been spoiled by not having to worry about whether content is available to me or not based on region restrictions and didn't even pay attention to what countries it was sold to. :(
On retrospect that is one of the things that makes GOG.com so appealing. :)

Yes, that and the fact there isn't any regional pricing differences.
Is it just me or is the site very slow right now? it's been like that since today for me.
