Hello, I was wondering why the games aren't appearing normally in the Games Explorer in Windows 7. If Windows 7 compatibility will be added, does it means all game installers must be recreated, and we will need to redownload the games we have? Still it would be nice to have your quality games in the Gme Explorer, thank you.

The problem lies in the fact that Microsoft 'updated' the Games Explorer for Windows 7 - apparently to 'bring it in line with user requests', though in my opinion they ended up ruining it (they should have just worked with what was in Vista already). Probably requires a slight change to the GDF registration process in order to work.
You can add games manually at the moment, it takes alot of extra effort though. I haven't tryed it myself only had win7 for less then a day now but it looks like it should work.

Completely beyond the point, but seriousy, who needs the game explorer? Just load all games from shortcuts on the Start meny already...

Believe it or not some games no longer install to the Start menu, just to the Games Explorer (C&C RA 3, C&C 4 (beta at least), Dawn of Discovery, etc)
So as I checked the main Windows 7 topic, the teem is working hard on the compatibilty issues, so that means all the installers mst be remade, and Win 7 users will need to redownload the games?

Yes, at least those interested in the changes (which is just the game explorer fixes, as far as I know, the games themselves should already work).
Yes they work just fine, but DOSBox games must be started with administrative rights to work, maybe that is something the teem is figuring out.

Hmm, they probably try to write something into the game's directory, which if installed to the default location (under "Program Files" on 32-bit Windows or "Program Files (x86)" on 64-bit) is only allowed by admins. Ideally the game's save files and settings would be stored somewhere in your home directory (like the "Saved Games" folder), but such redirection is seldom feasible for old games not already coded to work with multiple user accounts (DOSbox games and most Windows games released before Windows XP, also some later games).
