Why always war in games?
For all the reasons already explained here, but I also think that the majority of games call to some sort of primal instinct since the creation of weapons: shot moving things.
I've never seen FPS as nothing more than a modern version of the old "shoot the ducks" stands in fairs.

But I also think that the majority of games simply call a very primal instinct from the creation of weapons: shoot moving things.
