Here at home we agree that the unaltered, original trilogy is the best. It´s good as it is, unaltered, in all its traditional visual effect-ism glory.

Now let´s not mix things up, the "first", "old", trilogy is just the developmentor confrontationpart of a narrative plot, the "second", "new" trilogy is the introduction part of the story. Which leaves us with the last one, being Star Wars VII being the first of the last trilogy?! Which belongs to the finale, conclusion of the saga.
Good, I hope we all understand each other now..........

don´t we? *takes out light saber*

That video is mislabeled. That scene takes place after the Emperor has christened him Darth Vader. Anakin is long gone at that point.

Yeah, I'm a geek.

Not totally gone as we can see after the fight in the Death Star, but yes, at this point we can say it so deep buried inside his own self that it'd be technically gone.

By the way I see no mention of "The Caravan of Courage"..............I know, I know..........I KNOW OK!!! But it was funny seeing the strings on the cave creatures.

Well the existence of Anakin vs Vader is key to a theory I've been working on that Darth Vader was a shitty duelist. I'm not going to get into the details now but my evidence depends on when Anakin becomes Vader and if you should or should not even separate the two.
My favorite version of Star Wars was the movie I saw in the theater in 1977 before everyone started taking *Star Wars* far too seriously.

There are multiple factors that help turn him into Vader, though, the one that tops it off I think is the lie of Palpatine about his guilt for Padmé's destiny (and that´s why jedi´s shouldn´t have attachments). Though if one analyzes it, it may not be that far from the truth, since in her dissapointment about him, she loses hope, even though he blames Luke and Leia for it, but, the medic droid actually says that she somehow "lost her will" besides any labour complication that may have happened.
Anakin was a little "rebel" though, about the jedi ways, so it may have been that old truth, "power doesn´t change people, it just show who they really are".

etb: Since Disney is now an official brand here I guess it is legit to ask.

Considering all the edition of Star Wars around, both official and not-official, what is your favorite?

Of course this is an highly subjective, flame war worthy, topic. Try to be civil, this is one of the cases where the sentence: "everyone is entitled in his opinion" is correct.

Personally:

New Trilogy (I -> III): I like the TM2YC fanedits. TM2YC fixes the movies keeping them the same on the essence. I literaly felt I was seeing the same movie, but good. And for Ep.2 was quite a feat for me.

Old Trilogy (IV -> VI): Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition. It is not-official, but it is the original that for some reason Disney is not able to give us.
I like the Star Wars movies, I often watched when I was a kid. Not the new Star Wars IV to VI. I also dislike Episode 1, 2 and 3. They fucking ruined Star Wars for me. I'm only looking forward to the next movie because what else is there to look forward to?

I'm not into super hero movies. The only exception is the Batman movies and I watch them to see the villains.
Honestly the only Star Wars movie I really love is Empire Strikes Back. The other two from the original trilogy are okay, and I definitely watched them a lot as a kid, but they're not great movies in my opinion. I definitely prefer the original cuts, though funny enough Empire probably has the best special edition of the lot with very little modified in a bad way. In contrast the original film has that horrible added Jabba scene and the drive into Mos Eisley and Jedi has the horrible song change.

The prequels are just bad movies in my opinion. I enjoyed the third one a bit, but I still wouldn't call it good. Bad acting, bad effects, bad writing... just terrible. Even the worst Star Trek film is ten times better than the Star Wars prequels for me.
Original Star Wars (1979) VHS tape. CGI Jabba the Hutt just doesn't do it for me.

I also dislike superhero movies, doubly with a character like superman.... Superman VS Batman? Superman takes the whole Gotham and throws it to the sun. End.

The only superhero I enjoy is GODMAN.
