Feeling like you could build a stronghold that no one would capture? Now you have the best chance to build your own castle and test its walls against hordes of invaders.

at a recent gog.com board meeting:
"okay, how are we going to keep this logan kid from going to college?"
"i know, let's steal ALL OF HIS MONEY, you need money to go to college"
"brilliant! but stealing's illegal, we'll never get away with it"
"not if we use promos..."
Thanks GOG!
Just purchased the 'promo pack'.
Can we have a Pinball Promo soon ?
:)
I already own them both (bought them a couple of weeks ago from here), but I'm glad with this promo anyway; it will get new players to acquire these fantastic games.

LOL :)
GOG: I wish you'd give us some more proper discounts instead of always going for these bundles. The entire spring promo was useless to me, despite containing a number of games that I would have liked to buy (in bundles with games I already own boxed copies of, so no discounts there).
I know you like these bundles, and they're popular. But if you want my money, bundles won't work.

The thing that annoyed me most about the last bundle was that I already owned most of the games...
Never tried any of the Stronghold games, but they do look somewhat interesting.

Count yourself lucky GOG is giving you a break from spending more money ;)

Yeah, they're pretty good, with some cool, unique features. I like the mix of Settlers-style resource gathering and fortress building. The only thing is, I'm not entirely sure why anyone would want Stronghold when they could just buy Stronghold Crusader.
lowyhong: I want more games in my shelf, dammit! :-)

Well i liked the original more, i don't really know why i don't like Crusader, maybe its the setting, but i always liked the original more.

Hm, fair enough. I only played a demo. Well, if GOG had offered a discount instead of a bundle, I could have bought it and found out if it's better than Crusader (which I bought years ago). Alas.... :-)

Well, if there *was* a way to play skirmishes (where both you and the enemy builds a castle and try to overrun the other's, just like in Crusader) against AI opponents in Stronghold, I would play it more. As it is, the closest thing I can do is playing a free build, and ordering an invasion force from time to time.
Somehow, the original has a charming, strong feeling of the Middle Ages to it.
tempting but i'll wait for the earth (2140,2150 and 2160) bundle
