soulgrindr: Oh, I know, Unreal...
"Beyond good and Unreal" ;-)

"This weekend, we have two games that rhyme well together: Spellforce Platinum & Comanche vs. Hokum..."
Ahahaha!
I guess we could come up with some cool combos like that. "Perimeter & Personal Nightmare, on games that rhyme and start with the same letter..."

Looks like we'll get what we asked for bansama :)
Aw, really cool that they listen and respond to the userbase so quickly (since everyone seemed to be clamoring for a pinball deal).
What I don't understand is why so many people actually want virtual pinball games. Huh.

Same here. Only played a couple as a kid and the novelty quickly wore off.

Yeah. I did enjoy this one 3D Ultra Pinball game with dinosaurs, but then I was also obsessed with dinosaurs. :)

We do. And GOG gets my money this weekend.

Before computers gained popularity, we used to have pinball machines (and slot machines) in our house. But with a growing family along with the lack of space, my dad had to get rid of them. But I've always enjoyed playing them and while I'd love a real table again, ones on the PC are so much better in terms of pricing and space =)
But then, I could wonder why people enjoy playing virtual sports games when they could just go outside and play for real...

There are three reasons I can think about right now.
1)What Bansama said.
2)Somehow, pinball games have some sort of magic.
3)Pinball games are typically ones someone might be interested in, but this someone needs some extra motivation to buy one. A promo could just be that motivation.
To me they're pretty much casual gaming, and as much as some may diss casual gaming, sometimes some of us don't have the time of day to dedicate it to an intricate plot, brain wracking puzzles, sneaking around or managing an army.
Sometimes all you want to kill is a little time without much mind usage and pinball does that wonderfully.
