Yeah, pretty silly I'll admit, but GOG seems to have something against certain good old kid's games on here, so I'll occasionally let out my frustration on that issue.

I'm suspect they did, even though I cannot be 100% sure of it. Atari actually responded to Barry_Woodward's tweet about getting them on here, saying, "...that's a good idea," but I haven't heard anything since then. I wouldn't blame them turning them down if it was something like Reader Rabbit or some things far more unknown, but I consider these kid games timeless classics. (Plus, they were made by ex-Lucasarts employees and Jeremy Soule composed some of the music.) Nimbus Games is porting some "updated"-ish versions to iPhone and tablets, but for some reason Atari and Nimbus have avoided re-relasing them - the originals - on PC, which boggles my mind.

Anyway, I know at least a few other games have been turned down because they were childish, but also obscure. These are not obscure, so I honestly can't help but wonder if there's something about "outright" children's games that GOG doesn't like. (I actually sent a concern to TET, but he never responded.)

Maybe it's because of who controls the credit card. :P This is one of those things that's I can kind of let go, but may sometimes come back to me, a la mi avatar.

I liked Myst 3 Exile.
I just started Myst and Riven 10 years ago, without walkthroughs... Didnt have a chance.

I´m think about getting realmyst, Riven or URU now, because of the sail.

But I fear Realmyst/Myst is too ugly and empty for me. Riven is too empty and difficult (pixelhunting). Uru... I dont like 3d-person view and the controls should be hard to handle.

What do you think about these games?
How hard are these games compared to each other?
I would like to know if I am thinking about these games in the right way....

Myst Masterpiece, Riven, Uru and Myst V are all on my shelf now. What a great deal this was. I've always wanted to try these games. Thanks GOG! :D

Well, any half-decent marketeer will know that, despite the money being controlled by the parents, it's the children who control the parents :P

Jokes aside, I think children games wouldn't do bad in here. From what I can tell, the average GOGer is in the late 20s, 30s and even higher, many with children of their own and more than willing to pass down the little bug to the next generation.
