These weekend promos are a bit odd. I mean, you save 2 bucks, that's it. It's 15% off the normal price, sure, but those are low enough that I'd think this hardly makes a difference. I might be wrong and there might be enough people with a really low gaming budget for whom this is a significant change, though. Do these promotions result in noticeable spikes in the number of units sold?
You also need to remember that our games are only $5.99 or $9.99 :). There's not a huge profit margin as-is, so if we drop the price too far we end up not making any money at all... which at times can be acceptable, but not very often. We have to pay publishers, too.
