This little guy has been at it for a while, but I think he's gonna make it out of his egg soon. Pretty neat to watch.

(sorry if it's obnoxious to make a post about this here, I just thought some of you would appreciate it.)

cute little noises
Wow, that's impressive. But the comments in that social stream are quite disturbing.

Thanks for sharing.

reaver894: cute little noises
The noises s/he makes has me half-convinced it's a chihuahua about to bust out of there. ;)

I've been ignoring the comments section, just a bunch of trolling and nonsense.

yeah i turned it off
ok im bored of it now
That's pretty cool.
What a lazy bastard, what does he expect that he can sleep in till noon
That's just not fair.
Man, he made some real progress there for a bit, then just passed the crap out. I think the guy watching over him is eventually going to just break the shell open for him.

You are right. The guy is cracking the egg with a pair of scissors right now. Most of the head is visible.

Man, getting born is exhausting.

SWGAC: "Well what did you do with your weekend?"
Us: Not a lot. spent most of Sunday watching an ostrich hatch.
SWGAC: "Wow, that is soooo cool, I feel so bad I missed out on that!"
What a watch, that was quite intense.
Wanna bet someone, somewhere, is jerking off watching this ? =))
Used to see it every summer on Vacation, while at school. my uncle had an Ostrich farm, he had about30-40 ostrich pairs, and up to 200 little ostriches.

Was fun, in the morning you get on the back of the truck drive from breeding camp to breeding camp, collect the eggs. go to the breeding room place the eggs in the breeding racks. chase the baby ostriches out from the barn into each age groups day pen, feed them, then late afternoon, do everything again. If the weather turns bad, you leave everything as is, go to the day pens and chase them back into the barn.
