Apparently, the original Wasteland will be coming to GOG as well as Steam I would expect in the relatively near future. Just thought I'd pass on the good news in case it has not been mentioned here already.
It has been mentioned a few times already... But good to know anyway.
What about Fountain of Dreams? Fountain of Dreams, people! Fountain of Actual Dreams!
(by my reckoning that makes Wasteland 2 actually the 3rd go at a sequel to Wasteland after than a Fallout!)
Oh yeah!
Actually, I don't care. That's a bit too old school for me.

Well, maybe GOG could talk to InXile about bringing it as a bonus item. I'm hoping they at least get some nice bonus content to entice people to buy it here.

I'll send a message. EDIT: Message sent to Turnip. Even though that title was hated apparently, it would be nice for at least GOG to bring it.

I'll be honest. I tried Wasteland once on an Abandonware website (Hey. I wasn't even born when it came out). It seemed promising (being the predecessor of Fallout and all), but there was a big problem.

This game (like many RPGs of that time) seemed to suffer from the "WHAAAAAT DOOO IIII DOOOOOO?!?" syndrome. Maybe that's because I didn't have the documentation, but I couldn't make heads or tails on what was going on or what I was supposed to do, let alone survive (got killed by killer rabbits of some kind).

Now that it's coming on GOG (hopefully with the documentation), maybe I'll be able to enjoy it at face-value (not to mention that I'm able to get some help on those forums).

I'm pretty sure it also had a SSI Goldbox style 'read journal entry xx' from your actual, physical booklet mechanic which I think is to save Kbs in game but others seem to think is copy protection so you'd miss important parts of the plot without a pdf of that!

YAY! I am not the only one who remembers this one - I even added it to the site's wishlist some time ago.
I sunk countless hours into that game finding all sorts of weird stuff.

It really was quite a limited game in many ways and I used to be able to complete it very quickly once I knew how but it was my first ever non-shareware PC game and first ever CRPG so I loved it to bits!

EA do have games on GOG so WHERE IS FOD! :(
Well I'll support it being a classic and all but... this is a big but, the game has not aged very well. I am sure it will make someone happy so what the hell! :)
YESSSSSSSS! Finally, I will be able to play the game that started it all...
Hopefully they release it before Wasteland 2, but will buy it for sure here on GOG.

It will be the second highest "completed" game on the wishlist, which will make me quite happy.

I sent a message to one of the staff, but you're welcome to message one of the bluetexts also and remind them of this opportunity. We do have EA here, so this might be a nice time to try to grab the "edge" over Steam by having the second game as part of the release (similar to System Shock 2's bonus content here). Now I am assuming Wasteland 2 on Steam has Steamworks-integrated multiplayer of some sort; I know we're getting a DRM-free version of course, but I'm also assuming that W2 on Steam will have something special that GOG won't be capable of, like Spelunky did with the daily challenges.

I played it obsessively a few years ago. It's one of those "not aged" games, except for the cumbersome "look scene description in booklet" system. I hope the code gets tweaked to include these texts in-game, in the gog version.
