After a break in posting retrospectives and spotlights, we're bringing back the "something to read about good, old games" section to life. Today we're highlighting mods for Far Cry.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/far_cry]Far Cry, featuring the astonishing CryENGINE, was incredibly looking and one of the most innovative shooters back when it was released. 6 years later it still looks really good and with the active modding community it still brings loads of fun. Thanks to the the sandbox editor, every home-grown level designer could create a first-person game of their dreams. The results of some modders work are incredible and we'd like to draw your attention to couple modifications. Don't hesitate to comment and add more fan-made mods as we know there are plenty of them - we're just giving you a spotlight on the ones we really liked.

Faithful: Could you please tell me if the games have all patches installed; i.e. the games purchased are the latest version of that game?

All games in GOG.com catalogue are patched to the most recent *official* version, various community patches are not included in the installers, but you can find links to some of them in the game specific forums sticky threads.

Do you guys note the latest officially version of the game that you actually buy-to-download anywhere -- like say in the PDF manual?
