I can relate to OmegaX, his situation is similar to mine, although we do have a handful of GameStop stores (the logo is different, but I'm guessing they're connected).
Can anyone tell me what kind of DRM is included in these games (or in any other Gamestop PC Downloads for that matter)?

Also, can anyone tell me if I need an active internet connection to run the games or play them?
I am pretty sure they will still be steamworks so youd have to register them on steam to install and play.

An interesting idea would be that Valve is doing this to compete with EA. Since EA games are offered everywhere but Steam, maybe Valve is retaliating by offering Valve games everywhere but Origin.

Again, Origin (at least in the US) already sell retail versions of Valve games and have done for years (even when they were known as the EA store). Further to that, it's not EA refusing to provide Valve with their catalog, it's Valve actively refusing titles because EA do not agree with some of the new requirements Valve are demanding of publishers in order to sell certain titles.

Also note that EA are not the only developer/publisher who are facing the same issue with Valve (others have either actively refused to sell their games on Steam or have had Valve refuse to sell them as a result - such as the Trackmania developers)
