Server is still up. Whether or not you'll find anyone online is another matter.

Oh, this is convenient. I've been wanting to play against my brother but if i use other servers other people will immediately join and kick the crap out of us non-hardcore players.

The server is here to stay. There are no plans to take it down for now.
That doesn't mean though, that if no one uses it -ever- it won't go down after a number of months.
Sadly at the moment I don't have the time to "officially" set up any events.
Just a reminder:
The server supports all vanilla game types. Just use the voting to change maps or gametypes.
