The game Undercroft is free from http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/undercroft/ for roughly the next 8 hours. Its a first person RPG in the style of Might and Magic and Eye of the Beholder. I've downloaded it myself but haven't had a real chance to play it. The first comment is a rather lengthy review of it though with some gameplay youtube links.
It claims to have no ad or spyware but it definatly has some kind of online activation based DRM because you cannot install it after the promotion is over. If you install it before you can play it for free as often as you like though. Make sure to run the game once as well before the time period is over because it seems to activate twice.
Edit: I should also add the first thing it trys to get you to do is install some addon you don't need it to play the game so you can select No if you don't want that.

Thanks. A free game's always welcome, even if isn't the best game in the world.
The game is simple, but fun, and that's the important.
Checking it out...

...got it. Nice Eye of Beholder/ Dungeon Master -style of game, though low-res it seems (and no apparent way to change that) and confined to window play (no apparent fullscreen mode). Then again, i luv me some retro gaming so the pixelated windowed graphics aren't a problem to me :) ...
I don't care much about graphics, too, otherwise I would hate Fallout.
Installing. While we're on the topic of First Person RPGs, can anyone recommend me a few?

Looks like its primarily designed as an iPhone game, hence the low resolution.

I think your right, I watched a 10 min review(2nd youtube link in the comments) of it on the iphone and it looks much better on that, but its free so I can't complain.
These "free for some time" offers are so sick to me... if I really want a software (ie a game) I tend to buy it, and if I want to "try" it I P2P it. So what's the matter? Marketing? Yawn.....
Aww its an RPG? When i read the title I thought "Cool, lara on top"...
