Tom Clancy's End War was just released for the PC... once again with no DRM. Perhaps they have learned their lesson from their.... other games? (coughs Far Cry 2)
Anyways, I think this is a great step for ubi and hope that they can prove that DRM free games work. :D
Maybe. It might also be that it didn't make any difference, and that they're actually saving money from not having to purchase the license to use the copy protection for each game, or whatever they do.

I wouldn't be surprised at that.
Personally I doubt piracy has that big an influence on sales as some companies claim.
They might have actually found out after releasing a game without DRM it makes no difference.
Equal sales with less costs still means more profit.
Ubisoft's history of schizophrenia with DRM continues...
This doesn't mean much. Ubisoft tends to have this thing where they don't really know what to do. They often switch plan to plan, so I wouldn't be surprised if Ubisoft went back to DRM within this fiscal year (I say fiscal year because it actually overlaps 2010, just to cover my ass).
Don't worry, they'll still manage to upset PC gamers when they decide not to release any Endwar DLC on the PC (in the event that they release DLC for the consoles).
