heard this was 1000 times stronger than Haiti!
The weird thing is that the tsunami seems to have totally bypassed hawaii, yet now 50cm-1m waves are hitting japan. But since everyone had lots of warning it shouldn't cause any casualties.
But Hawaii is directly between chilie and japan.
I heard that the 9.5 quake in Chilie actually killed hundreds of japanese due to the tsunami that hit here... back then they didn't have the warnings.
