So I'm tired of being limited to 2 gigs of RAM because of a bad motherboard. I have $210 now and I'm looking to get a new motherboard + CPU (already have the RAM I need). After digging through the Newegg package deals I found this one that looks like a good deal for what I'm looking for.

Thing is, I'm pretty out of date when it comes to what is the best at each price range so I'm double checking before I grab the bundle above to make sure that I'm not missing something obvious.

Make sure the RAM you have is compatible with the motherboard.

I don't know too much about cpus and mobos nowadays either, though I've heard that Intel is far an away better when performance is concerned. Not sure pricewise though. If you've got a Microcenter store nearby, you might be able to find a good deal. But from what I hear, even a dual-core i3 from intel is better for gaming than many quad/hex cores from AMD.
