Moot is announced most influential person in the World
Normally, I'd accept all sorts of stupidity from time, but look at the list for the top 100 people.. the first letter of each name!

"Moot denies knowing about any concerted plan by his followers to influence the poll, though TIME.com's technical team did detect and extinguish several attempts to hack the vote."
Yeah, nice extinguishing there :-p
And they obviously haven't noticed it themselves yet.
[EDIT] Hmm, check this out: this is how they did it.

Wow, Time's web designer has some of the worst basic security skills I've ever seen.
I totally voted for moot.

Yeah, that part astonishes me. The fact that they are *rolling with it (the article seems legit) gives them no credibility whatsoever.
"Time influential person vote hacked" would be a valid article. "Moot voted most important" demonstrates that they have no understanding of what happened, not to mention poor editorial control.
* (rick)!
Bless you, /b/.
Hacked? Hardly. Easily gamed? Yep. Pretty much par for the course with online polls.
so the marble cake is a lie?

Not a lie, but perhaps very different things to different people! (the urban dictionary never fails...)
