Momo1991: I'm not sure how far along you are in college, but I've heard that some give scholarships to fencers. Just a weird tidbit of info I picked up somewhere that may have no practical use for you...

Legend of Zelda encouraged my son to try a fencing class one summer but he didn't seem to enjoy it as much IRL as he thought he would - just not naturally competitive.

Anyway, my favorite fencing scene is in The Princess Bride - the one at the top of the cliff;

I am actually a junior technically in college, working on a slow to achieve bachalor's degree (Slowed further my my frankly terrible progress and blah blah blah ect. ect.) That's interesting that there's a fencing scholarship, I may have to look into it. I'm not sure if I would really qualify though since it's a student run club and not organized by the university.

I meant that some colleges offer scholarships! Not sure where you attend offers any bucks towards school but I've heard that some do. In any case, I hear you about "blah, blah, blah" since I'm back in school currently - and avoiding my own homework! <weg>

Okay, for those who were interested, I managed to find a little video of the tournament. Bad news is only very little of it includes me and you can't see my face in it. There's probably more video of it out there but it's all I have, and it happens to be from after I got injured (Since it's foil and not epee). If you're interested say so and I'll post it in the opening post, otherwise I can just pm it to people who want to see it.

Okay, I have the video up. After looking I recognize the match, this was against the fencing coach for University of Central Missouri, which I lost 2-5 (Mind you there's also an injury and a large gap in experience in there. I've only fought for 6 months overall after taking out injuries breaks and illness)
