i was hoping it would be like guild wars 2 buy to play, but $15 a month is lot, so its no go for me
Phew, no free to play bullshit. A definite go for me.
Monthly fees and always-online requirement/DRM are often reasons I don't do MMO's.

Good luck with that.
I thought MMOs were dead?
So glad to hear this. I loathe free to play. Finally good old fashioned sub.
Well, it is an MMO.
Give it 6 months or a year then they will turn to F2P.
Not even going to bother with it.
I'll wait and see what the first few batches of players say about the game after extended play. I probably won't subscribe but I'm still rather interested in it. The initial previews I saw piqued my interest~

Their lack of any announcement about fees made it clear that it would have one. If it had been B2P/F2P they would have proudly announced that on day one.

I'm expecting it to be F2P within a year (probably much less), just like every other newly-released P2P game in the last few years.
Never planned to play it, now this is a definitive "no go".
I really despise (most of) the monthly fees on video games; drug dealers practices in my opinion.

Odd, none of the drug dealers I've dealt with have ever asked for monthly fees.

They take advantage of addictive properties/gameplay. This is a trap for some people, a very hurtful one.
Additionally, even for those that don't become addicted there is still the "investment" issue; they have spent all that money on the game over the months/years so to stop playing would be to essentially negate the continued benefits of that expenditure.

Many F2P games do still have an optional subscription for those that want to go that route but giving the ability to earn (almost) everything through normal play makes it a lot more fair (especially for games with little or no PVP where it doesn't really matter if some players chose to pay for instant access to shinier swords and bigger pauldrons).
