shaddim: Holy shit! I just learned...every episode has an own Wikipedia article ... O_o

Beside, the reason why I found this out is the ninth episode of the eighth season: El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer) which is my favourit at this moment ;)

PS: why... not sure... this episode gave me a pretty kafkaesk feeling.... maybe time to see it again
Are you watching them in spanish? And who knew spanish for Homer was Jomer? I take it Jomer is pronounced the same.

no... I was also surprised that the official name seems tto be in spanish... but it is fitting for a Carlos Castaneda inspired episode.

jjsimp: As far as the newer ones, I got a kick out of the iPod one with Lisa where she contacts Apple support. Not a completely great episode, but it was a little humorous.
It was okay at best.

Watch Attack of the killer app instead (Futurama). Both about Apple but the Futurama episode is leaps and bounds better. How is that possible considering it's the same guy in charge of both (Matt Groening)?

Vitek: Hehe, here we have TV station which airs 2 episodes each day (3 on weekends) every day for last more than 4 years (I think the TV started on 1st April 2009), so you certainly can get your dose of Simpsons here and I don't think there is anyone who haven't seen them yet. :-)

Randalator: Don't bother buying anything beyond Season 10, that's when the scale tipped heavily towards the mediocre/outright bad end of the spectrum. The handful of good episodes in the later seasons just isn't worth paying full price considering all the crap you get with it. Anything beyond Season 14 is just bad, period. Avoid at all costs...
Really? Well thx for this info. As I wrote - myknowledge of the series is rather random but I dont remember seeing episode that I would call weak. Guess I had luck.

tburger: About 6 years ago one pf polish tv stations started broadcasting The Simpsons but they stopped somewhere after I think Season 2. I was crushed. I want to buy them on DVD but 14 Seasons @ 40$/each so...:-(

I agree. I have all the seasons from 2-11 myself. Happily paying import price especially for seasons 5-9. Anything beyond that I don't intend to get.

To be more precise, Jomer is the Spanish transcription of Homer, in proper Spanish it should be translated as Homero (which is the name picked for the Mexican dub). It would be like writing Yon instead of Juan for the English John.

Ah Homero, sounds a lot better. I guess Jomer wouldn't be pronounced how I pronounce it anyway. As the J's in spanish are usually like W as in Juan. Then again Jalapeno is an H sound, so perhaps it is pronounced like Homer in english.
