park_84: To be more precise, Jomer is the Spanish transcription of Homer, in proper Spanish it should be translated as Homero (which is the name picked for the Mexican dub). It would be like writing Yon instead of Juan for the English John.
Ah Homero, sounds a lot better. I guess Jomer wouldn't be pronounced how I pronounce it anyway. As the J's in spanish are usually like W as in Juan. Then again Jalapeno is an H sound, so perhaps it is pronounced like Homer in english.
