With respect to it costing $9.99, is it still an acceptable price for the game.
But I also think Ubisoft are trying to be sliiightly greedy with the pricing. The whispers I've picked up so far indicate that the reason Heroes of Might And Magic is not yet released is that Ubisoft is actually trying to charge $9.99 for it.
I'd like to see that 15-year old game, which isn't the best in the series and is more a "good start" before the classic HOMM 2 and HOMM 3, sell anything more than 11 copies if they price it at $9.99.

Yeah as much as I love Rainbow 6 & Ghost Recon, I may have to wait for a sale to pick them up because they really are on the high side for something that elderly

I know i said that Far Cry would probably won't run very well using my crappy geforce 6200 however that was before i realized that the game has a demo, i am gonna try it now and depending on how the game runs i might give the game another look when i have 10 dollars. Wish me luck.

In the USA , Encore Software has released this game in a JC version for $9.99
Once you patch the game to 1.4, you dont have to have the disc in the drive to play anymore. It even comes with its own CD Key. Its a DVD version too.

Late to the party, but i just want to say that this game rocks.
I can't believe its 4-5 years old... that makes ME feel old!
I remember upgrading my PC to play Doom3, which was ok. And then picking up the (at that time 6 months old) Farcry and loving it... it was so much more fun to play - and such a refreshing change. One of the best FPS i've played in a long time.
Never played the multiplayer... i didn't think it had much of a community, but i could be wrong. It had a few nice ideas (at the time) like being able to build things on the maps... i think.

For a different look:
Press the title key (the one next to the 1 button) and write "\r_hdrrendering 7" (enter) and then "\r_fsaa 0".
Combine that with the rendering modus "cold" in the setting produce nice results IMO. You lose FSAA but the overused hdr gives FarCry more charm.
Ps. "\e_vegetation_sprites_distance_ratio 100.000000" might be a good idea too.

I guess this is cool, but I was never too much a fan of Far Cry. Played a demo of the PC version and the 360 version, neither really got me to say much more than "Eh, it's OK".

So i played the Far Cry demo while setting every video option on "low", the gamed hanged in a lot of places (while swimming, while going trough the jungle, while blowing stuff up) this was pretty annoying so i don't see myself picking up game until i have a new rig.

I'm glad to see Far Cry join "The GoG Club", as I like to call it.
I bought Far Cry quite a few years ago, as soon as I saw it hit $20.
Yeah, the checkpoint system was annoying b/c you never saw where the checkpoints on the gamemap were located, so you might hit one at a bad time; i.e. you have very low health, you have very low armor; you have not too much ammo; etc etc.
Also, another problem w/ the checkpoint system was the placement of these checkpoints. Sometimes they were placed too close to another checkpoint or sometimes placed too far away from another checkpoint.
Far Cry is an excellent shooter.
Oh -- and at least Crysis and Crysis: Warhead have a quicksave feature, which are also excellent shooters.

Jesus, when a game from 2005 is considered a "good old game" I feel old.
Great game though, GOG is going from strength to strength
