Damn that's going to give them a lot more exposure, adding a copy of portal is a good business move as a new game will encourage people to use it but as the article says, LOTS of potential for market exposure
GOG should do that too. Like they would anyway.

Oh come on, we all know you don't like steam, that's fair enough, but let's be real here, steam behaves nothing like a rootkit.
At the very least I can play my steam games with process explorer running.. (with securom you can't)

Unless the Steam game you are playing uses SecuROM. ;)

Nevar!!! I don't buy games with 3rd party DRM on steam.

Wouldn't work as well for GOGs, there's no real store attachment. With steam the user will see the store tab and sales details and be more likely to use it.
What would be better is for a free game coupon that they have to come to GOG to redeem so they see the full range of games

or a notice that there are 3 free games available to them

And gog.com as the default home page.
i would not worry too much how many people actually own alienware comps anyway
Dell suck!
We blow up Compaq machines at work (rather large, power fireworks inside) but Dell don't even get inside the door...They're the AOL of the PC world :P
Dell+ Steam == Holy SHI-! It's gonna blow!!!

Why, yes it is ^_^
Yes, it's blocky/grainy, but it was a cheap 2mp camera.
Piece of the casing hit me in the chest :P Bounced off, didn't hurt. Luckily wasn't too close to it.

They also have a deal with Alienware for the same thing.
