Perhaps you should ask if they can elaborate on where the expense lies?

I'll write back to them to ask if they want to elaborate. However, I assume for now that the expense they'd have is getting it to a state that would reliably work under the latest iterations of Windows, which is a problem with this game. I've not tried it myself with my copy but apparently it is hell to get it to behave under win 7 or later (and/or 64 bit OS, whichever is the problem) even using DosBox. So someone would have to dive in and fix that - his or her labour will cost money. No even sure how many of the original team is still with the company, so it could be quite a time-consuming task.
Anyway, I'll post here again if they get back to me.
