damien: Please help me choose one from the following:

-Anodyne
-Driftmoon
-Dyad
-Miasmata
Well, I played Driftmoon and I feel confident in recommending that one :) You won't be disappointed with it :D

tinyE: What is the save situation like with "The Pit"? I don't mind a hard game but don't make me start over from square one every time I eat it ala Mission Impossible for the NES.
It's a roguelike, dude. It kills your save every time you die although they modified The Pit a bit in the DLC. For example, you can bank experience and items in certain rooms that appear about evety 5th floor, IIRC. So it's kind of a hybrid of a classic roguelike save system where death means your save gets erased and check point saves, The item/experience banking rooms are optional.

Hope that helps :)

Novotnus: Judas, what happened with your 'Play with Judas'? I'm really tempted to pick this one after watching your video :)
Now, make one on The Cat Lady and I'm buying The Pit. Do it. For GOG.
:)
See, I want to do one for The Cat Lady but I am wondering if I should because it might spoil some of the better elements in the game. I do, however, have a Judas Plays coming up sometime soon-ish :D. And yes, it's going to be a classic game :D Hopefully, my performance will come out better this time :P

Novotnus: Excellent :)
And I'm sure you can pick some non-spoilerish parts... like the part that was in the demo, which is a kind of a stand-alone part within the game.
I believe in you :)
Like I said, I am afraid of spoiling the game for anyone as I went into it blind the day I PMed you for help with it and I don't want to take away the experience for anyone else of what I felt when I encountered some situations for the first time.

mondo84: Does your girlfriend ever hope the same thing? :P

Kidding, kidding!
She has no need to hope and I'll leave it at that :P

Novotnus: So, no adventure games in 'Play with Judas'? :( And I hoped for an episode with I have no mouth... :) //but in both cases you can show how to screw things up... and leave the good solutions for the players to find!

Novotnus: Fixed it for you :)
Well, I won't leave them out but I'd like to get better at actually doing these videos (yes, I am my own worst critic ) before I take on games with a rather ...ardent following :p

Novotnus: So, in the next 'Judas plays' our hero will be facet with... Magna Cum Laude!
This one certainly doesn't have a following of any kind :)
Be careful what you wish for :)

*whispers* also it's "faced with" as facet is another thing entirely ... Just a helpful suggestion :P

Novotnus: Actually I'd love a good series where someone's ranting over bad games :)

Novotnus: Thanks, fixed :) Sometimes I'm an idiot.
My rants are not fit for public consumption as i tend to swear like a sailor :D

Novotnus: Played them all, here's my Best to Not-so-great list.
1. The Cat Lady - one of the best horror stories I've ever encountered in books, movies and games.
2. Primordia - what sold me to this game was a droid who put on clothes for some reason. Good, deep philosophical tale with little bits of humour. Go for it.
3. Prenumbra - two first parts are the top of survival horror. Like the genre - don't hasitate.
4. Mismata - another survival horror. Lots of survuval, not so much of horror.
5. Evoland - very interesting concept, medicore execution.
6. Dyad - plain weird :)

FlamingFirewire: So would you recommend getting Miasmata or Dyad, or would you have another suggestion of a must not miss list (already own Amnesia)?
If I may humbly suggest something for that "must not miss" list, I'd like to suggest Sword of the Stars: The Pit. It's a sci-fi roguelike based on the Sword of the Stars universe. When I first heard of the game, I had no idea that I would end up actually coming in late to work because of it :D

note to self: make a GOG Mix of games that made me late to work >.>

Tranquil.Suit: If only the dlc was on sale too.
Well, for 7 bucks you can have both as the DLC is only $5 :)

I know I'll sound biased since I work here and all, but $7 for the base game and expansion (yes, it's DLC but to me it's a damn expansion :P ) is a great deal considering that the base game alone goes for $10.

Not trying to make you purchase anything, just trying to give you some perspective on the matter :)

Tranquil.Suit: Paying 2.5 times more for a dlc? Are you insane?
Only when you compare it to the sale price. The DLC cost 50% less when the base game is being sold for its normal price. But I definitely see your point, though :D
