First let me say hello, just joined and already have 5 games, this is the best thing to happen to gaming in a long time.
I did some searching and haven't seen any talk about old adventure games (while almost none saw something on some of the old Lucas Arts games). I would love to see some old point and click games, I think you could reach a new audience. I know my wife would go crazy if you had some.
What are some of your guys favorite adventure games?
Ours are 7th guest, 11th hour, Alone in the Dark, the Shivers games.
There were so many, alot of them weren't great but trying to solve the puzzles. And of course the games with fmv were so funny (unintentionally funny that is).

That being said. I second you... heh, I'd propably buy any adventure game they could get just to support the genre and in hope of them getting more adventure games.

I also really like the Myst series...yea "hardcore" gamers bash them to no end. Whatever. If it wasn't for Myst I probably wouldn't have gotten into gaming.

Totally agree. I really love Myst, Riven, and Exile. Revelation was a bit too hard for me, and I never quite finished it. Uru never even peaked my interest though.
I would also love to see some other point and click, really classic adventure games. LucasArts would of course be welcome, but some other games, such as Longest Journey / Dreamfall would be excellent.

Of course, most of the old Lucasarts adventures are timeless classics, but I doubt that Lucasarts would sell their games here, as they still sell many of their old adventure games themselves.
I can think of a few candidates, however. The Simon the Sorcerer games were brilliant point and click adventures. I don't know who holds the rights to them, but I suspect it is still Adventure Soft. Their webpage still exists, and they still sell the games online. I doubt they get a whole lot of sales that way, so they might be interested. The games are priced somewhat higher than GOG's, but then, it looks like the ones they are selling are actually boxed versions.
GOG aside, for any fans of point'n'click adventures out there who may have missed them, a few classic commercial point'n'click adventures have been released as freeware, including the absolutely fantastic Beneath A Steel Sky. They can be downloaded from the downloads page (at the bottom of the page) at the ScummVM site. They all run under ScummVM too, of course, so if you wish, you can play them on, oh, just about any platform imaginable.

One of the main ones I want to see come to GoG is Sanitarium. That game was one of the best adventure games and it gained a cult type of status after it came out.
Then there is a quite underrated gem that I played back in the day called Dark Earth. It came out as a fairly cheap game, I got it on a whim at wal mart for like 10 bucks back in 97' and it quickly became a favorite of mine. It had a very unique feeling atmosphere, a bit of medieval with steampunk design to it.

Would also love to see the more recent Syberia and The longest journey, among classics like Full throttle, Blade Runner, Day of the Tentacle, Grind Fandango, etc.

Sanitarium is definitely among the best adventure games I have ever played. I'd buy it in an instant if it was on GOG.
Curiously enough the game's most recent publisher, XS Games, still lists the game on their site, with a price tag of $9.99. However, there doesn't appear to be anywhere you can click that will actually let you buy the game.
