I'm with stupid.

Fenixp: Look at support articles, there's one about long launch-time under Vista

I've read about it, but I've got Vista, and as I mentioned, I have no delays, inactivity or anything.
Guess I'm just lucky, I suppose.
I'm with Cogadh. I do scan every single file I DL before launching it though (yes, even yours, GoG), but I find after the initial integrity check, the installer starts instantly. But I'm on XP as well.
Either your computer really sucks because it can't even run the install, or that it was eaten by computer hamsters.
I just skip the check, it always works.

Weclock: I almost always skip the integrity check.

Wishbone: That wouldn't really save any time, as the integrity checks themselves only take a couple of seconds. It's the time between them that's long as hell, when the installer is big.

Huh? My integrity checks always take from 10 to 30 seconds on a quad core no less. Never had to wait for the installer to start afterwards though.

Why don't you post from your user account? Unless GOG doesn't like Japanese characters or something...

I'm posting from my phone =) Besides. I like my privacy.

That makes so much more sense. I can never remember katakana properly :P
Someone else from Japan? Cool.
And that would be "anon" for a name.

never had a problem with AV or FW interfering...just click install and run...
Nope, never had a problem with install times and I'm using Vista with AVG running all the time. I've never had a check last longer than a few seconds. Things how they are, are fine.
