Hey, guys, how about getting 10 people together to play this great expansion? With Diplomacy addon, and advantages it provides to people in alliances, it would be even more awesome. Be warned thou, as it would most probably be a loooooooong game. And let's bring special rules, those are fun! Like 'no player can be entirely destroyed, every one has to be left with at least 2 planets' or something - more space for deceivement :-P Might be fun.
I wish i had the time for such a loooooooooooong gaming session. :-(

Well I don't really think we could do it in a one long run, after all the game can be saved... But after 2 hours this topic doesn't seem to be a blazing success, and since I wanted 10 people at first, it'll probly fail anyhow :D
I'd be keen to try this but I won't be able to for a bit... About to pack up everything as I'm moving.
Karl
I'd be up for that, but I don't have Diplomacy just yet. That and a big external harddrive are the next 2 things I'm getting.
Diplomacy is good to me so far. Adds another dimension to the game without overcrowding useless extra features like many expansions for RTS's do. Wish the trinity pack was available for pre-order long ago when Sins was new, that was you already bought the expansions in the package and get them as they are released. Oh well $10 can't hurt for something I enjoy.
How good is Sins single player?
Just thinking I might get it (and so could join in), but I'm a single player gamer at heart so it would need to stand up for that to get my moneys worth from it.

90% of what I play is singleplayer, and it's constantly fun. Singleplayer is basically skirmish mode on tons of maps. They have no campaign so there's no story to get into, just skirmish and online. The clan I'm in called AOD sometimes organizes games via ventrilo, bot-bashes are uber-fun especially when you can voice chat with your team, might need something like that set up for GOGers.
It's look like a AI war: fleet command. 4X RTS in space.

Different games, really - Sins is closer to a normal RTS (except in scale). AI War is quite unique, and feels more like a Tower Defense, "guerrila tactics" game.
Both are worth it, though. Both great games on their own.
Well, Fenixp, I'd love to join you, but I don't have Diplomacy, and I do have dial-up... :'-(
I know that doesn't help you much, but it's always nice to know that people like your ideas, even if they can't participate. :-/

I'm up, but only for SoSE Vanilla (no exp.)
I am interested in multiplayer SIns. But I'm also lacking in Diplomacy at the moment. How good is it?
I actually want to play this BECAUSE of diplomacy expansion, so without... well, not so much.
Navagon: Well it adds a whole different level to the gameplay, so very good
