Catshade: Interesting...they didn't ban the first two GTA games on Germany? :D

GTA was censored (female playable characters were removed)
GTA 2 was censored (blood was removed)
The games were however not banned. The links above go to the english versions though, although on a German download page. If you don't like that, you can also get it from Rockstar:

taczillabr: It's freeware for two or three years already. I've noticed it when I was looking for that Railroads! game, near the launch of it they've released the first for free.
There's also another version called "Railroad Tycoon Deluxe", but I know zero about this one.
EDIT: I've installed it now and this is the Deluxe version; not that first, oldest version.

Protoss: True! But for those who still don't know:
GTA
GTA 2

TES 2 Daggerfall[/url]
have all also been released as freeware.

Your links are fine however from the site the Two TES Downloads do not work.

Nice findings. Please add them in that freeware list, and put the official rockstar link also.
(By the way, 2K games really supported the release as freeware, they did all the job with dosbox and windows shortcuts. Bethesda, just released the game files and a pdf instruction file for installing; to hell with the support for newbies).

You can feel free to add it there before I have to fiddle around there. :-)
Nice. I could always use old games for my laptop. Especially when they're free. :D

To be fair, they don't really support their current games, so it's not hard to imagine they wouldn't support old ones.
I once emailed them to ask about a busted quest chain in Oblivion. I'd decided to play as a vampire for a while and then wanted a cure. The problem wound up being a well known bug, but instead of patching it they just emailed me and said, "Yeah, we know about that, just reload a save from before you were a vampire."
I probably saved that email so that I could marvel at it. I should go look.

Yes, isn't really surprising coming from the actual Bethesda, both about the freeware and the bugs.
It's just interesting to see the differences from company to company. Although, maybe maybe it was just a well organized marketing for Railroads, that's why they distributed the game 100% ready for play on dosbox, to promote their new game.

Na, more violence, blood, and not to forget nudity.
I bet if GOG released a Adult game, sales will go through the roof.
