Weclock: I'm currently allowing two lesbian women to crash at my place for a few days.

I've seen movies that start that way...
I know 2 women who are bi & 1 guy who's not only gay but interested in exactly my type, none of them are the jump up & down & shout "look I'm gay" type who annoy me massively because they seem to be more interested in the attention than the issue. Jack Thompsoning, if you will.

At your local video store.

Weclock: I have a right as a parent to censor what my kid sees, and it isn't topical in a game of Shrek to discuss World War II, The Exorcist, or Left 4 Head.
And I believe that any whackjob who goes into these kinds of games with the intent of bringing up these kinds of topics should be banned.

You certainly have the right to take measures to censor what your child sees, such as disconnecting Xbox Live while your child plays Shrek. But to expect other people to be censored for the sake of your child is ridiculous.

This discussion surely isn't as black & white as many make it seem. There is such a thing as too much information. The question is, how much is too much? I don't think stating your gender preference is too much, whilst giving explicit details of your sexual life would be. Overall though, I have to say I agree with you, izz.

TheCheese33: I don't think having sexual relationships with the same sex is right

Do you mind if I ask why? I'm always interested to see why intelligent people disagree with it.

I myself have gotten to the point of not caring about orientation anymore. I have adopted the "do what you will but keep it behind closed doors" attitude.

They mostly do, you know. It's very rare that I see two guys fucking in the cereal isle in the supermarket.

Not yet anyways. Careful, there may be a special interest group just for that in the making....

I had to check because of the sensitivity of the topic you know! :-)
From my understanding, your XBL account allows for an "about me" section, in which people would write about their life.
If someone wants to write that they're lesbian, twenty, from Iran, into the Beatles or whatever, it surely should be okay.
I think the point about user names is perhaps reasonable, given that people will automatically see the user name, but wouldn't see the profile unless they chose to.
I do wonder what MS would do for virtually identical accounts that were listed as "Gay_Gamer", "Black_Gamer", "Old_Gamer" or whatever, as they are all similar in my book, but by the sounds of their T&C, only the first one would be banned.
