i dunno. at least in the short term i dont think we'l see any differences. Though you could argue we've already seen differences in atlus lately with smt4.. most notably their adoption of awful money-pinching dlc.

I hope they won't try to make an ogre battle before they sort all their ... issues.

This may be good news for people outside of Japan, but not so much for those of us here. We'd just gotten rid of regional restrictions on Atlus games on Steam for example. SEGA will put those restrictions right back.

I was under the impression that SEGA itself is not doing so good right now?
Where did it get the cash to buy Atlus anyway?
I honestly thought that Sony was going to be the one to buy Atlus....

I was also not aware that Sega was in the position to buy anything. I'm assuming Atlus went cheap.

I don't think this is good news. But then it could of been a lot worse. Maybe Sega can restore my trust and not mess this up.

I will kill someone if they do to SMT/Persona what they did to Valkyria Chronicles. It's bad enough we will never get to see Devil Summoner as it is.
Although, if they bring over Eternal Punishment PSP, I will make sure I buy every Sanic game in existence, ever, as thanks.

For people like me who had no idea what Atlus does.
Dare i mention the Aliens Colonial Marines issue? (yes that still hurts!)
but cool that theyve been "purchased" by a lesser devil company!
e: ya know i dont think ive played anything of theirs!

Hopefully Atlus give up on those lame dating-sim anime RPGs (Persona) and get back to gritty dungeon-crawling, demon-summoning turn-based combat in a weird setting (SMT main series).

Also, I absolutely recommend playing some of the stuff Atlus have developed, though you might need a console or handheld for that, unless you wanna go with an emulator.
Before I forget, I'm not sure if people heard this but Atlus is publishing the Tex Murphy: Tesla Effect game.
