I constantly work on two desktops and I would LOVE to see the feature in GOG games that would allow me to save/load game to/from my account. So that I could continue playing when I'm on different machine.
That's my dream feature :)

There are a few web based backup servicess like amazon S3 that you can use to point to where your saved games are stored and back them up to the web daily so you can retrieve that data on another computer.
Dropbox would also work great as well.
You could also drop a line over here:

edit: Provided you want it specifically for GOG, those other services work just as well if you aren't too picky..

I just use my gmail account. Doesn't take long to attach and send to yourself..
There are probably a few games out there that have large save files, but it's not been an issue just yet.
Maybe a 1GB thumbdrive would help?

That would be nifty, but would probably be a bit difficult to implement; as it would require code re-writes/additions; and I am not sure that the agreements they have with the publishers would allow for such a thing.
Now a seperately running GoG.com utility wouldn't be too far fetched, maybe something you could set to monitor save folders for your games and auto-upload to GoG at a pre-determined interval (or on file changes).
Heck, it probably wouldn't be too hard to create a simple app to do something like that - though not to GoG of course, but to a host of the users choosing. I might have to check this out as a side project :)

Exactly, this should be enough, why do you all always want to save things on the internet?? Are you too lazy (it take only seconds to put game saves on a USB flash drive)? Or worse, are you never worried about privacy?
Some big companies such as Microsoft and Apple are trying to impose their *future* with the disappearance of hard drive in your computer, and with instead a storage space on the internet. Please don't encourage it...
But our future is in the cloud! I mean why have centralised local data storage when you can have it all out of sight & out of mind until you need it.
And its not like the internet is unreliable or has privacy problems

Tell you the truth, I'm not too concerned about privacy with this topic. Knowing that someone got to 8th level of descent isn't private information to me:)
Anyhow, I just don't have the time to manage each and every file when leaving office or home. 90 % chance is that I forget the needed save position on a USB drive. Or perhaps I can forget the USB drive itself on the desk cursing at home that I can't continue playing.
Online storage is the solution I'd like to see and the easines off pressing a button on custom standalone SaveGame manager (hey, we already have Download manager) would be great.

Hey, that would be great:)
I already added this to GOG feature wishlist, but please if you come up with something post it:)
It doesn't necessarily have to monitor the folder, it could have the SYNC button to upload/download files between two machines.
;)
