Judging by the recommendations I get I can only assume everybody gets the same ones. Almost all the games recommended to me are adventure games, I haven't bought any of the type recommended, the majority of games I have purchased are RTS, Would be great if you could implement this feature correctly based on genre/s rather than pulling them out of your asses(light hearted intention).
Happy New Year All.
Well in all fairness, they don't say "Recommended just for you". =)
Just thought you should know that I nostalgia'd from your display pic.
@Bansama - HAHA That's a good point :)
@Aatami - Maybe we should start a Dizzy tribute thread :) There are some quite good remakes at http://www.yolkfolk.com/dizzyage/ the one on the front page is really well done!
The recommended feature does seems fairly random at the moment. A better feature to have would perhaps be "other customers also bought", but that requires keeping some level of server-side track of what people are buying when they buy multiple games with one order.

Doesn't have to be in one order. If someone buys a game in one order, and another game in another order, it still shows that said person is interested in both games, no? And GOG knows exactly which games are on each account, so it should be a piece of cake to implement.

Or they could just change the title to "Want something different? Try these" and call it a day
IIRC, the "other games you might like" is actually a "other members also bought" list, they just don't label it as such.
