Xanto:
I'd get the D&D promo. It's a good price for very good games. The Witcher series will be on promo also some day.

Planescape: Torment, Witcher 1-2, Baldur's Gate 1-2, Icewind Dale 1-2, Age of Wonders 1-2 and most importantly Wizardry 8. :p

Xanto: I got about $30 to spend, and a bandwidth cap so I'm heading to a friends house to download... considering the Dungeons and Dragons promo, Witcher series or the Age of Wonders Series. I know nothing about Dungeons and Dragons but it's a pretty nice sale... what would you recommend?

I love RPG's and the Witcher series looks awesome.
Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale.
Both Icewind Dales, and Baldur's Gate 2.
3 dime bags or I could go in with you on an 8th.

OOOPS, wrong thread.

To download or to play? To play... maybe 60 hours.

Xanto: How many hours could I probably get from the two Witcher games?
Witcher 1:

I'd go for the Witcher series, if you haven't played it, yet. Be sure to play Witcher 1 on hard or "harder than hard" (use the recommended mod), it pays off!

As for the D&D promo, it has some of the best games ever made. Planescape: Torment is still unbeaten in the story department, Baldur's Gate 2 has a really good story, and great tactical combat, Icewind Dale has amazing tactical combat (though you might need some basic AD&D knowledge for this one, so feel free to ask for help here when time comes for you to play it), Temple of Elemental Evil requires a good amount of D&D 3.5 knowledge, but it has amazing tactical combat and good writing (buggy though, so you might want the circle of nine mod). Neverwinter Nights has great mods, but the core game itself is bad. NWN 2 has a rather poor main campaign, but the first expansion is considered to have one of the finest stories since Planescape: Torment, but sadly it is rather buggy (it might not work well on your computer). Dragonshard is an alright RTS. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either, and I don't have any experience with Demon stone.

So I would recommend getting this promo. You have many hundreds of hours of gameplay here, and it is among the best that the CRPG genre has to offer.

If you have any money left to spend, then Age of Wonders 1 is a game that I'll highly recommend. It is my favourite HOMM-like game. And finally, The Wticher 1 is also really good, but it is regularly on sale.
Buy Sacrifice - It's an Action/RTS game like no other . Use the rest of the money to get the D&D promo OR, if you'd like to buy something else as well, then Planescape: Torment, the 2 Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter are enough.
