Not a RPG, but still a damn fine game espescially if you like adventure/puzzle games is Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus. I also like both the Fallout games, but my second favorite series on gog so far are those
I didn't know GOG had Shogo-- It's my favorite "pure" shooter and, overall, it's a very well-designed game. Highly dynamic, with a lot of different situations evolving throughout a moderately good storyline, it goes beyond the "kill everything that moves on the level" formula. I still remember stuff like jumping out of some window to catch a train to run away from certain people...

JudasIscariot: Other recommendations from GOG would be:
Arx Fatalis
Beneath A Steel Sky(can't go wrong with free!)
Sacred(it's a more colorful version of Diablo and more fun...)
Waxworks(when it comes out....)
the Broken Sword games
Simon the Sorcerer
both of the Fallouts if you haven't played them already...
Unreal, one of the few FPS' to age well

I'll put in a second vote for Sacred. If you enjoy Diablo-type games you will love this one. I played it solid for over a year. It has a huge world and fantastic graphics (compared to Diablo). You won't be disappointed with that one!

Cheers for the recommendation of Giants: Citizen Kabuto have to say its one awesome game not too far through it just got my second squad member and about to rescue Timmy again i think, and my god you where right it is hilarious one have one problem with the game and that its so bloody hard to shoot people who are running! :D anyway cheers lads and lasses greatly appreciate the help
Hey Joycey,
Jagged Alliance 2 will be the best thing since for you in the RPG department.
It is turn based, not that bollocks-ridden Real Time With Pause junk.
If you're as tired of magical mystical fairy elves gallivanting about as I tend to get then JA2 is soooooo refreshing to play.
It has guns and women and women dual wielding guns!!!!!
It has blood and real decaying corpses instead of the usual disappearing act that most games usually pull.
Did I mention you can dual wield guns ??
It has intelligent dialogue, unique characters, and sooo much more.
Jagged Alliance 2 : For when you get tired of the fecking dwarves, elves, and fairies.

Once you finish Giants (which won't take too long, it's pretty short) I heartily suggest you try Sacrifice, the same ridiculous humor, interesting story and cut scenes, wonderful combat, and an expansion of the strategy elements of Giants.
It's a great game, although the later levels do require you to possess six hands in order to manage everything.

Indeed. Sacrifice was the other of my two original recommendations. And yes, it gets damned hard towards the end. I wouldn't call it the same ridiculous humor though. The humor in Sacrifice is rather more muted, not the over-the-top-and-below-the-belt style of Giants.
I wouldn't call those drawn out arguments between the various "Gods" anything less than ridiculous.

Yes, but not the same. I have yet to hear James exclaim something along the lines of "I'm just an old god and me balls are saggy". So yes, it's funny, but in a completely different way from Giants.
